On September 15, 2023, Prof. Dr. Anchana Prathep, the dean of the Faculty of Science, cordially welcomed Dr. Jonel P. Saludes, Vice President of the Office of Research and Global Relations, University of San Agustin, Philippines.

This arrangement was made possible through the strong collaboration of Asst. Prof. Dr. Itthipon Jeerapan and researchers in the Philippines. The meeting focused on future student exchange programs, internship programs, as well as academic and research collaborations between the two institutions. In addition to the administrative meeting, Dr. Jonel P. Saludes gave a special seminar titled “Discovering natural products and drugs through chemical biology and spectroscopic techniques: engaging in functional food and commercial product development with corporate partners” to Thai students and researchers, followed by a visit to the renowned Center of Excellence for Trace Analysis and Biosensors (TAB-CoE).

We hope this meeting takes this collaboration up to a fruitful and bountiful partnership.
