Thirty students from the Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University (PSU), embarked on a transformative learning experience through The 2nd PSU-UM Reciprocal Mobility Program 2024 (Outbound) at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Malaya (FCSIT, UM), Malaysia, from November 3-7, 2024.

The program offered a unique opportunity for students to delve into the fields of Data Visualization and Drone Programming. Expert faculty members from UM, Dr. Riyaz Ahamed Ariyaluran Habeeb Mohamed and Dr. Asmiza Abdul Sani, imparted valuable knowledge and practical skills. Beyond academic pursuits, the program fostered cultural exchange and language learning through interactions with Malaysian students who had previously visited PSU as part of the reciprocal exchange.

To enrich the experience, students visited iconic landmarks in Kuala Lumpur, including the UM campus, Royal Selangor Pewter, the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTiC), and Suria KLCC.

Dr. Somphop Limsoontharakul, Acting Deputy Head for Research and Innovation in Computational Science, engaged in discussions with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suraya Hamid, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs at FCSIT, UM, to explore potential collaborations beyond student exchange. These discussions centered around joint research projects, student internships, and co-hosted conferences, with the aim of strengthening the academic and research ties between the two institutions.
