Prince of Songkla University and the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia Collaborate on CORLAMM PSU ORL Cadaveric Dissection Workshop 2024

On November 7, 2024, the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Prince of Songkla University (PSU) launched the CORLAMM PSU ORL Cadaveric Dissection Workshop 2024 in collaboration with the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia. This event, held at PSU’s Cadaveric Surgery Training Center, brought together otolaryngology specialists from Thailand and Malaysia to engage in practical training aimed at enhancing surgical skills and understanding of human anatomy.
The workshop opened with a ceremony featuring key figures from PSU, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nalinee Kowitwanawong, who welcomed participants alongside Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wiraporn Atchariyasathien and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uraporn Wongwatcharanon. Running from November 7 to 9, the workshop focuses on cadaveric dissection training, which serves not only to improve surgical techniques but also to instill safe practices among medical professionals.
Participants included seasoned otolaryngologists and medical residents from both countries, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange. The workshop aims not just to elevate individual skills but also to strengthen medical partnerships within Southeast Asia, contributing to the development of innovative healthcare solutions. By creating an international network of academic and clinical collaboration, this initiative represents a significant stride toward improving regional medical standards and practices.
