On 2 April 2025, Prince of Songkla University celebrated the achievement of academic programs that successfully passed the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) certification. Among them was the Master of Science in Applied Statistics from the Faculty of Science.

The certification was officially presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Kaewpradub, President of PSU, and Assoc. Prof. Karanrat Soonthornpun, Vice President for Quality Development and Risk Management. Representing the Applied Statistics program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Klairung Samart and Asst. Prof. Dr. Phontita Thiuthad from the Division of Computational Science accepted the award. The event was also attended by the Faculty of Science administration team, led by Prof. Dr. Anchana Prathep, Dean, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pimonsri Mittraparp-arthorn, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Education, and International Relations.

Achieving AUN-QA certification signifies excellence across multiple dimensions, including curriculum development, teaching and learning, student support, and graduate outcomes that align with societal needs. This recognition reflects the dedication of faculty and staff in continuously improving the program to meet international standards and advancing educational quality at PSU.
