On Monday 24 August 2020 an online meeting was held with the Faculty of Science UM (University of Malaya) to discuss options to establish a COIL (Cooperative Online International Learning) collaboration.

COIL enables the faculty to internationalize students in a cost-efficient and social-distanced way. The aim is to establish COIL collaborations between two lecturers per subject who are teaching an online class (around 4-6 hours) with UM and PSU students in English.

The meeting was led by Prof. Dr. Ismail Bin Yusoff (Dean, UM) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anchana Prathep (Dean, PSU), and joined by interested lecturers and the International Relations Team on the side of PSU.

After a successful meeting, PSU is looking forward to initiating COIL collaborations with the lecturers from UM. As soon as the COVID-19 lock-down measurements are released, both sides are pleased to visit each other in person.

PSU also got invited to attend a webinar with UM and University of Malang in the beginning of next year.
